Gerry joined Sandy Hill in 2014 and is responsible for our investment activity in the consumer, industrials, business services, and technology industries. From 2010 to 2014 he invested in both public and private technology opportunities through Caumsett Capital. From 2005 to 2010 he was a partner at Sherborne Investors, a hedge fund investing in public company turnaround opportunities in both the US and the UK.

 

Prior to that, Gerry spent more than 20 years advising industrial, engineering, and technology companies on mergers & acquisitions, restructurings, and financing transactions at Citigroup, Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers and SG Warburg & Co. He advised a wide variety of multi-national companies including IBM, Lucent, Ford, Honeywell, Raytheon, EMC, United Technologies, Textron, and ADP, as well as many more mid-cap clients.

 

Gerry earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has served as a non-executive director of Nautilus from 2007 to 2009 and as a non-executive director of Spirent Communications from 2006 to 2010.
